In album: candy
i've seen so many people use different things for making roses, so i decided to give it a try. this is the first time i've ever attempted something like this..it look ok i thought, needs some fine tuning...maybe a different candy, but it sure was yummy after i got the photo taken...haha
thanks for looking

really pretty roses. And my gosh! Are those your real nails?!!! I am so jealous! People pay BIG money to get nails to look like that. And I should know - I am a nail tech.

thanks for all the nice comments. mamastacy, all i did was squish the milk dud then roll it thin with a rolling pin then formed the rose. kerri...thanks and yes they are my real nails. i am usually one of the people paying big $$ for acrylics, my nails are very thin and break easily. i'm actually cutting them down tonite. but thanks for he compliment..':D'

Would have NEVER thought to use a Milk Dud!!!!! I would have fun peeling each petal off and savoring each bite! Very nice!!!

That is really clever. I'm afraid mine would never make it to the 'rose' stage! LOL

Did you have to add any flour or cornstarch to your table or rolling pin? I keep picturing it and it seems very gooey!
KCsmom98 12/22/05 at 9:38pm
no...i rolled them on parchment paper...didn't use anything on the roller, just kept turning them so they wouldn't stick

I'm new to this and I really like the rose... I think I will give it a try. Very talented you are.
