Thank you so much, everyone! It was extremely difficult to let this cake go to its party, we sort of got attached to it. :)

Well, I mean.... incredibly well done!! Did u use a mold for the tail~feathers, ( and if so, where do I get one?) or freehand?

this is not a first time when the best looking cake doesn't get the 1st place. It seems like most people choose "cute" insted great, hard and VERY professional, clean work. I understand everybody are proud of their work but sometimes you need to face the truth. This cake seems to me likea very good and professional work. Very clean and beutifull. I really like it very much. Just thinking how much time it took to make all those feathers, attach to the body, paint it...

This cake is definitely 1st place in my mind, WOW...amazing work. It reminds me of my parents' farm when they had chickens and sold eggs. Beautifully and professionally done! 1st in my book:-)

Ditto to all the comments made here. I often get frustrated at all of the cakes that get high honors for being "cute". I think yours is head and shoulders above the rest in execution. Not "cute" but definitely fabulous. :D :D :D
