Done for a western themed wedding vow renewal ceremony. All cakes and decorations are MMF.
I was supposed to make this cake a little bigger, but customer wanted it on the small side. 9" 7" and 5".
Thanks! No, I hand painted them. I used the clear stamps to imprint words and scrolls on the belt and buckle and then I used the gel food colors mixed with a little vodka (alcohol evaporates quickly) to paint them.
I have a western themed wedding cake to do in the spring. I loved ,my design until I saw this one! Fantastic job! Id like to klnow where you got the mold for the horseshow too, or did you form it by hand?
Thank you all for the great comments. :) I got the molds off of ebay. They are for chocolate/candy and are 4". There are 2 on the sheet. I just used fondant with tylose added to it.
For the brim, I added tylose to some fondant and let it set up on a mat that I curved. The hat part is a cake that I carved in the shape that I wanted and covered in fondant. I hand painted details with petal dusts.
This is amazing!!! I am also new to making cakes and was wondering how you make your mm fondant b/c mine never holds up very well especially for decorations
