School Building Grand Opening

Chocolate cake covered in fondant. I made this for the opening of the schools new classroom block. ( I offered ages ago to do it before the building was so complicated) The black porch and sunroof are foamcore board and a plastic sheet as time limitations and the fact nobody would care made it the easiest option as getting the measurements was hard till I had made the building so gumpaste would not have dried in time. It would have melted anyway as it was a humid day and was quite soft then it rained. The rest is cake with fondant on the board. Made the figures before I did the cake off the plans so they are a little big compared to the building but quite happy since I have not done anything like this before. It took a couple of days to make and in the end I was over it and not so fussy so its not perfect but a good representation of the building minus a few small details. I also iced 4 x 10inch cakes for afternoon tea so was a busy few days. Not the best photos - hopefully will get some supplied to me by the photographer. I am a critique sub board member.
