Birthday cake for my friend's 7 year old. Half chocolate, half yellow cake. Marshmallow fondant with gumpaste figures. The volcano is made from rice krispie treats covered in fondant with candy melts as the lava. The hut is also made from RKT with a fondant door, cookies and a frosting roof. Round cookies surround the cake and the sand is made from crushed graham crackers. This was the first time I've made anything from gumpaste and I was really pleased with the results.
