This cake was for a 7-year-old girl who was having a Barbie in the Mermaid Tale party. She really wanted the actual Barbie to be surfing on the cake. Well, it is not easy to make a Barbie stand up, let alone surf!! I made a harness for her out of a coat hanger and stuck the wires through the styrofoam "wave" behind her. It worked great! I made the Zuma dolphin out of fondant.
