My best friend was getting married and asked me to make her groom a cake for the rehearsal dinner. She said, "He's kind of a hippie!" So, I dug around on cake central and pulled several ideas from you all (Thank you :o) and came up with my own rendition of a Hippie Groom's Cake. I quoted the Beatles song, "Love is All You Need" in hippie buttercream lettering. Cake is a chocolate cake with buttercream filling, fondant covers most of the cake with a hand-made fondant topper. I had a terrible time with this cake, but it WAS my first fondant cake outside of cake classes so I'm not too upset and everyone loved it and thought it was adorable and FAR OUT MAN!!
