This cake was made for an 80th birthday. The man had been in the Navy and was also a barber, so they wanted a cake to showcase both. This is what I came up with. All the decorations are gum paste, and the barber pole was a cardboard tube with ice cream cones on the top and bottom, covered in gum paste. The navy seal is an edible image glued to a piece of gum paste. TFL
