My very first wedding cake, and this is actually a practice cake. Even though I have alot of cake on my hands, I am glad I decided to do this before my first actual order for a wedding cake in October. I learned alot of valuable lessons, and after a few mishaps, I now know what NOT to do! Thanks for looking, will appreciate any constructive criticism or advice that you can give me! I have only been doing this for 4 months! :)

Thanks so much, it was very challenging for me, especially keeping the fondant in one piece as I covered the bottom layer! Does anyone have any suggestions on how to cover a large base tier with fondant, when my roller is only 20 inches?

I know this is advise for a year later but get yourself a silicone mat and roll it out to the size you need and either flip it over the cake with the mat or gently put your hands under the fondant and place over the cake. Sharon Zambito from SugarEdProductions has a DVD that shows you how to do it.
