i would love it too! I just can't see paying $90 for something that looks like my ubby can't make form PVC pipes.

WOuld LOVE instructions!! Making a cake for our 20th class reunion in August and am in need of a stand like this. Have been trying to figure it out but no luck so far. What is holding the plates in plce so they don't slip or slide down the PVC pipe?

I will get directions from my coworker on Monday. He said it was very easy to make and it only cost about $20

Forgot to ask also where you found the plates for the middle and top? Thanks again!

What I know about it is this: The Bottom is a 12 inch round wooden circle made to be the top of a bar stool (bought at a home improvement store) the two other plates are an 8 and a 10 inch wilton plastic plate (Bought w/ coupon of course!). It is one piece of PVC pipe that he heated up and and bent w/ a craft heat gun. the top two plates have dowels underneath them that are about 2 inches long to hold the plate. I will try to get a step by step instruction list from him.
