thanks! I used a diamond impression mat (cakes stores and online) and pressed it into well crusted buttercream. Then added tip 3 balls at each intersection. Hope that made sense....
Sometimes cake shops have tulle, otherwise you can buy it (cheap) at Walmart or a fabric store. I usually just get white so I can put any color over it, others get it in colors.

petals are cut from tulle, tacked over wax paper on lg flower former. Pipe over tulle w/ royal tip 2, let dry. GENTLY remove from flower former. Use more royal to attach petals/leaves into flower shape.
