I had high hopes when making my FISRT Topsy Turvy cake for my moms birthday. How hard could these cakes be...LOLOLOLOL OMG.. I found out... It started off good, then began to slowly get worse.. I didn't see the need to make the cake that high..I was wrong. I should have had at least 3 layers of cake per tier, I did 2. I did use dowel rods to support the cake and cake boards. By the end, my fondant began to slide off one side and split the cake... I was on the verge of tears.. My husband said it looked good and it's not that bad.. Thanks honey... Then it really slid off....So i made several flowers and smashed the flowers on the cake...and cried.. My mom loved it. However I will not let these cakes get the best of me. I will try it again....
