I decided to enter my first cake decorating contest, and it's at the fair. The theme is "Flavors of the Valley" and incorporates locally grown tomatoes, grapes, almonds, businesses such as Gallo Winery, Pepsi distribution, Sconza candy, Hilmar cheese and added a taco truck for giggles due to the overwhelming number in this area. Lots of fondant and gum paste, but everything is edible. Loved the challenge!
