This is a cake and some of the cupcakes I made for a bride's wedding that had a Monarch butterfly theme. I used gelatin to make the wings of the butterflies, and then black fondant for the bodies. While desperately searching for a way to make realistic butterflies I came across a tutorial here, on Cake Central, that taught me all about making gelatin butterflies and flowers, and this is my first attempt at butterflies.
