In community album: Children's Birthday Cakes
My now 4 year old loves street lights, yup you heard me street lights. He's completely fascinated with them. Whenever we head out with the truck, he must have a spoon and stick of some sort to mimic the look of a street lights. Of course as all boys do he loves cars, and driving them on pretend streets. We have a couple of road play mats but he prefers it when I draw him one from scratch.

That being said, I thought it would be fitting to make a birthday cake the incubuses all this favourite things. And when I asked what type of cookie he wanted, he asked for a bumble bee (I screwed up on the colours but no one noticed). And seeing that he was turning 4 I wanted the cake to be shaped in a 4.

So we have street lights, cars, roads, turning 4, and bubble bees (cookies9.... 
I just loved Cake Journel's race cake and I knew I had to use it as my inspiration for my son's cake.
