For my son's 8th birthday we had a reptile demonstrator bring all kinds of creepy crawlies to the house. Well, one of the creepiest was the Eastern Diamondback Rattlesnake cake that he requested. I baked short (2-3in) bundt cakes and cut them to arrange in a snaking shape. The board was 5 feet long! Iced in buttercream and then details were painted on after it crusted. Even the fangs, tongue, etc were buttercream as I don't think I had any fondant made up at the time :-) Enjoy!
