I made this cake for one of my best friend's son's 1st Birthdays! The theme was sports. The balls on the side are molded chocolate and vanilla. The bat and lower right baseball are fondant. The baby is 50/50 gum paste and fondant with painted accents. The baseball mitt is modeling chocolate. It is a vanilla, marble, and chocolate layer with vanilla pastry cream and chocolate mousse filling in alternating layers. Yum! This cake turned out to be huge!! It was a lot of work, but tons of fun to do!!
