this cake was for my fiance who turned 25! he loves the old mario bro games so i made it. the bottom tier was a 10 in square and each side was made to look like the old mario brothers game. i even had the original mario that i printed on edible paper.the middle tier was a 8 in square and it was made to look like the super mario world game. it was held up with hidden pillars that i covered in fondant and a separator plate. the 1 up mushroom in between the pillars was made from rice krispys. the top of the cake is actual cake and it is the super nintindo game system with the super mario world game loaded. the game cartrige was made from fondant and i printed the game image on edible paper. the controller is made from rice krispy. it was really fun to make! my fiance loved it!
