Fun at the Lake

I did this cake for a friend who asked that I do the body of water in the shape of the lake her cottage is on. A lot got lost in the cross between topographical design and "fun". All decs are made with fondant or 50/50 fondant gumpaste. Used spaghetti (painted with gel paste) for seagull legs and stems for cattails. Nilla wafers used for sand effect. Too humid and did not want brown sugar to melt. Lots of fun little details.
