Different forms of this cake have been sitting in my favorites just waiting for the twin girls I baby-sit to become old enough for me to make. (Now they are 8 and having a slumber party birthday -- yippee for me!) Specific cakes of credit are Cakenut516 and Jamie3679. My cake is a 9x13 buttery yellow (split in half to form the bed size) along with a 9x13 brownie for its middle layer. The headboard is made from Wilton fondant which dries so beautifully and needs no gumpaste added for stability.
