A generous neighbour(thanks SR!) custom made this for me. All made of 1/2" wood, PVC tubing and a long screw with a flat head that goes all the way to the small nut underneath. It all comes apart easily for transport and storage. The sizes are 8", 12", 16" and 20" and holds 100 cupcakes comfortably. I added a lace border and voila!

Awesome, does your neighbour need some more projects? I'm sure, we could all keep him busy

This looks great! I dont know if I am just not seeing it but how are each of the boards supported at their location? Is it one long piece of pvc and then how do each of the wood circles not fall? Thank you so much in advance !

Yes, a good neighbour indeed! I will post more photos of the individual boards when it comes back from the wedding. They are 'scored' so that the small pieces of pipe sit snug and it does not wobble.

Great looking stand! I'm with Steffla though...got me goin' "HUH?" Is the pvc cut into seperate lengths and the board have a recess or ledge that the pvc rests on while the all-thread tightens it all up into place?

I hope that all will be clear when the photos of the separate plates are up. The PVC pipes are approx. 5" long. The long screw that holds it all together was a smaller one that he soldered together with a long strand. Hope this helps!!

Great idea! I had wondered about the supports maybe sliding. This solves that problem!

wow this will definitely help me out. I'm trying to build one, but instead I will try to use masonite boards
