So this cake was supposed to be a going away cake for a friend from work. He wanted a banana cake and he loves the deftones so my plan was to decorate it with the pony from the album. First I was upset because the cake turned more into a banana bread than cake. It was soooo dense! Then I decided to try a new recipe for the frosting and made a caramel frosting. I didn't know that it was going to crust so fast and left me no room to smooth it out. ugh! It was terrible. I finally gave up and laughed it off and just apologized for the ugliness of the cake! Oh! And it came out too sweet! LOL Live and learn!
