This is my first attempt at a giant cupcake. I've never made the cake before let alone covered it in fondant lol, was a bit overwelming at first. The cake is a vanilla medeira with a vanilla buttercream. I cut a hole in the middle of the base and filled it with cream. The top section has a thin layer of fondant over it and then covered in rolled fondant and the base is jsut a thin layer wrapped around. The number 1 is hand made as the client didn't want to use the ones from the shop. Those cupcake tins are a nightmare but I eventually found a way of doing it without burning the top!!
