I made this cake complimentary for a local Army Family whose husband will be deployed to the Middle-East in September. I'm a Marine Mom and know how tight budgets are and it was my way of saying "thank you" for serving our country. Thanks to all the CC'ers cakes which I took inspiration. It was an 11X15 vanilla cake doubled and filled with buttercream as per their request. It was lots of fun to do.
