The cake itself is just a 4" chocolate torte that I make fairly often. To top this one off though, I decided to try candied flowers for the first time. I had some beautifully colored pansies in my garden and gathered them up a few days ahead of when I wanted the cake and prepared them. They turned out great and everyone at them with the cake!
