Good question Tripletmom! I used a 6" cake board hidden under the cake, then taped the scalloped 8" board to it. It IS pretty tall, but it held in the box well during delivery.

pretty! i love the sugared look. my husband and i were initally going to get married in the winter and this was the look that i wanted. but we ended up getting married in february when its not very wintery here anymore.
