Billiard Balls

Billiard Balls on Cake Central

This cake is about a 1" tall 1/2 sheet covered in green buttercream. The balls were made using Wilton's mini ball pan and each were iced with buttercream stars. This is my second attempt at this theme. The first time I made this, it was for my husbands birthday just shortly after I finished Wilton course 1. It took me 6 1/2 hours to decorate that time and he wouldn't eat it, just carried it around to friends and families houses to show it off.

Cute story about the first cake. I love this cake. Very original. The colors are vivid and the balls are perfect, numbering and all! Really fantastic ;-D

Wow...this is wonderful. Thanks for the idea with the mini balls. My BIL's b-day is coming up and he is in a pool club every tuesday night...may I use some of your ideas?

Your writing is AMAZING!! Great job!! I wonder if you could make the balls on a smaller scale making them from cake balls? I was thinking about making a pool table with 15 balls and the cue ball. Do you think that would look okay? I don't have the mini ball pan.
