Freehanded wedding cake cookies. I've always wanted to do some of these so this is my first try. Some I like better than others, some look like I have an unfortunate tick that can't be controlled. Sugar cookie, glazed one evening, let dry and the next evening I piped on the buttercream. I had come across a picture of some gorgeous wedding cake cookies the other day, they were a white background, red roses and green leaves, I wish I could remember who made them, she is extremely talented with a perfect eye for design. I was inspired by those cookies but I'm not as talented.

JUst a thought I just learned myself my mother in law makes cakes also and is teaching me some tricks she just made cookies for my sister in laws wedding and used the same cutter that she cut the cookie out with to cut fondant in the same shape and just brushed the cookie with conrsyrup and placed the fondant on top and then decorated the fondant as you did they were flawless and less time consuming. However you did a great job on your cookies :D

great idea about the fondant, I have seen cookies decorated in that fashion and they DO look flawless. Some people use imprint mats and such to make the most beautifully perfect designs!
