Samantha's Birthday

I made this cake for my best friends sister's birthday. She decided to have an outdoor party in November. It was a yellow cake with fondant straps. This is the first time I have ever used fondant. So the straps look horrible. But it is also the first time I have ever done a cake that was "carved". I was sort of happy with the results.

I traced a pair of my husbands flip flops on freezer paper and cut them out, then I placed the freezer paper on top of cake. I held them in place with a toothpick and cut the cake out.
