I made this cake for my daughter's school auction. Her principal is always telling the students to read, read, read! They are called the Mountaineers, so I made the principal sitting on top of Mt. Rainier. I'm not very skilled with fondant figures, but thanks to Aine2 for the inspiration! It was a big hit at the auction, and the principal himself bought it for $100.00 in the live auction! He shared it with my daughter's kindergarten class today. She felt so special! The cake is dk. choc. fudge with fudge frosting, topped with vanilla buttercream. Royal icing over sugar cones for the trees.
