This was for my sons 3rd birthday. I didn't much about cake making at this point about making kids or all the cook stuff like gum paste that would dry hard to make the sails. So everything is edible but the sails.

Cake was carved covered in chocolate buttercream, then candy clay was cut out and each plank was carved to look like wood. The "cannons" are rolos. We put sparkler candles in them and lit them so the cannons were firing. Years later people still talk about this cake at my kids birthdays....
