Daisys And Bows

I am trying to teach myself how to decorate cakes and how to use fondant. Not going very well. :( I covered the cake with fondant and it went on pretty smooth. The next day a huge bubble showed up on the side of the cake and I had a horrible time getting it out. I tried sticking a pin in it, but the bubble would not go away or it just kept coming back. Can anyone tell me why this happened and whats the best way to get rid of air pockets? Also, how should I store the cake after I have put the fondant on the cake?
