The birthday boy loves outer space, so we planned for his cake to have a rocket, stars and the planets, but mom and I wanted the rocket and stars to stand out on top of the cake. The cake is chocolate cake with vanilla icing. The planets are fondant (I forgot to take a picture of all sides!) and the rocket and stars are sugar cookies with color flow icing. The birthday boy got the rocket and each birthday guest got a cookie star.
