This cake is a yellow cake filled and iced in vanilla buttercream, then cut into the shape of the cross. All detail is buttercream except the blue disc, gold chalice and off-white host which were all colored white chocolate. This cake and the pink birthday cake were for the same event, but the family wanted to celebrate a birthday while everyone could be together for the First Communion. I did the same stripes on both cakes to help tie them together.
