In album: yellow
Just a white cake covered in yellow marshmallow fondant. The flowers were my first try at gumpaste and they were a disaster. I tried to make them in egg crates - but they didn't stick together. You can't tell - but they were just 'on' there - not actually all in one piece. My family asked what kind of flowers they were and I had to say, "I dunno. Just pink flowers of some kind."

I think itÂ’s great. When I was in class and got frustrated with my flowers, my instructor told me that most people aren't botanically educated and would not be able to tell me that the flower was not botanically correct. This helped me a lot and I realized that my designs were just that, my designs, and as long as it looked like a flower it was more than good enough for most occasions.

Thanks. That's a good way to look at the flower issue.

I think it's beautiful! Like something you would see at a tea party.

I think it's gorgeous. Next time you could tell someone asking that the flowers are "FunnyCake" originals- your cake reminds me of the traditional princess cakes - beautiful
