My first attempt using the stand my husband made me. This was for my sons 3rd birthday. it was a 12", 8" and 6" vanilla cake. the 1st tier is buttercream, the 2nd and 3rd are fondant. all of the figures are fondant. I ran out of time or I would have covered the post between the 2nd and 3rd tiers.
