Pricing list

This is my personal pricing list. I thought it might help some of you who are trying to create your own. Feel free to use it. You can change the prices in microsoft paint to suit your own needs. ~UPDATE~ a few people have Pm'ed me to ask why I give a discount per serving for orders over 100 servings. it is too long to explain here but if you look at the thread from this link http://cakecentral.com/cake-decorating-ftopict-674625-.html On page 2 , 5th post I explain why .. I am not saying everyone should do this I am just giving an example as to why I do . Just because it is wat works for me doesnt mean it works for everyone.

OMG I know I'm fairly new at this, but according to this I severely undercharge. My cakes tend to be $1-$1.25/serving.

preciouspjs- I just went nd looked at your cakes, curious to see what $1-$1.25 cakes you did... WOW you are severely undercharging . There are a few factors in pricing such as area and overhead costs but your MINIMUM should be more around $3 per serving no matter where you live! You cant even be breaking even for your cost and time! :cry: :cry:

ginger6361- I get 40 servings for a 9x13x4.. my cakes are all torted so they are usually taller than 4" but i carge the same as 4"

OMG!! My family has been telling me I needed to raise my prices I too am only charging $1.25-$1.50 a serving. Thanks sooooo much for posting these numbers.. :o :D

Ok so i am very new to all of this, but what does LV1 and LV2 mean? Is it the level of difficulty? And HOLY COW i think i am undercharging for my cakes. I charge about $1.00 per serving...

Penguins_Pastries- Yes Basic, LV1 and LV2 are the different difficulties in decorating it is listed on the bottom of the list basic is simple icing or fondant with border & message , LV! would include decorations such as flowers , bows etc. and LV2 is sculpted, carved , intricate design or a custom drawn to order design. HTH

Wow I cant believe how many of you are charging $1 per serving for your cakes. You are doing youelf a great injustice I have went into a lot of your photos and am astonished. There is no way you are making any money at those prices sure everyone wants fee cake but please remember you deserve to be paid for your skill and time. You are all providing these people with art , these are cakes they cannot make themselves . Figure your cost on ingredients , utilities clean up and time.
