Thanks to everyone for your ideas and pictures sent to me for this cake ... They loved it! Inside is french vanilla with buttercream icing ... barrel racer was done in fondant as well as the letters.
If by cracking you mean the cake itself, I always make sure to have a very sturdy board beneath my cakes. As far as the fondant cracking, I had no problems with that cracking at all. I used a bit of Crisco in the fondant to keep it somewhat soft then laid it on the cake where it later dried... thanks :)

Great job. I know it is not easy to cut around a picture like that, especially the detail.
Wow! How do you make it so smooth??
I use a crusting buttercream icing .. I wait about 15-20 minutes after I put the final coat of icing and smooth with a Viva papertowel :)
