This is a birthday cake for my neighbors 1yr old twins. The 6" top tier is chocolate and the 8" square bottom tier is marble. The cakes are coated with vanilla buttercream and covered with MMF. The snakes, snails, puppies and yellow banners are also MMF. I painted the poem on the banners with brown Wilton food coloring and a fine paintbrush. The whole poem wraps around the cake. I added the patches to compliment the quilted look of the top tier. The buttons are also MMF (I almost forgot to mention them). The white border is buttercream. I think this is one of my favorite cakes!!!!!
