This was an attempt to combine my son's two favorite things for his 2nd birthday: Elmo and Airplanes! I made two full sheet cakes, cut each in half length-wise, then stacked to carve the body of the plane. The wings are the only inedible part-covered in airbrushed silver MMF but made out of foam board. Elmo is made out of chocolate. Allow more time than you think-especially if you have 3 kids to take care of simultaneously! :) P.S. I know this isn't a Car/Truck/Automobile, but it seemed to fit the general transportation category!
