I made this cake for a friends party and it was a hit! The cake is a 6 layer home made white cake with alternating colors of blue and white. The cake stands 13" tall alone, and 19" with the beer bottles. It weighed around 50lbs when completed. The wood is fondant painted with a food color/vodka mixture. The ice is made from a sugar/ corn syrup mix, as well as the beer bottles. The only thing I didn't make, were the labels on the sides of everything. They were printed at a local bakery, and they are also edible. I had a great time making this cake, and I can't wait to do another one!
