I started cake decorating in September 2009 when I decided to make a birthday cake for my two year old son. It was based on the cbeebies programme 'in the night garden' and I was so pleased with how it turned out that I decided to try my hand at other designs. On seeing my cakes my sister asked me to make her wedding cake and at first I refused as I didn't think I was good enough to make such a special cake but she kept on asking me and I finally agreed. Her wedding theme was purple and we found a design that she and her fiance were happy with. They wanted different flavours for each tier and settled on chocolate, lemon and vanilla. They were both delighted at how it turned out and I am still so honoured that they trusted me with such an important task.
