The Martini Cake

I got this idea from user cakenut516 from cakecentral. This is a stacked cake iced with buttercream. I decided to make my martini glass a little bigger and put liquid in the glasses. All martini glass and olives are edible and are made from fondant. It was my biggest challenge to make an edible martini glass and have it hold liquid which is actually red jello so I guess it would be a solid now.

How did you get the glass so smooth? What technique did you use, freehand or a mold? I'm trying to do the same and I'm wondering if you can offer any suggestions. Thanks!!
