Q&u's Wedding
Wedding cake for my son's preschool class. The letter's Q&U got married since Q is never without U. This is my 1st "wedding" cake and I really had fun putting it together.

My first wedding cake will be for the Q&U wedding as well. I'm a teacher and a friend asked me to help out. Yours is beautiful. Hope mine turns out just as nice.

Boy talk about any excuse for a wedding cake!! How fun! You did a great job!! How was it doing the ruffle? I love the ruffles I see on cakes, just haven't tried it yet. Okay and how did you make the hearts on the side?
Thanks for your compliments. It was a lot of fun. The hearts are done with fondant and a silicon mold I bought from Sugarcraft.com. The ruffle takes some practice but is really pretty easy using a 127 tip. The pearls are also hand make out of fondant. I removed the fondant before service. I don't like the taste.

i had never heard of a q&u wedding until last week when my daughters teacher asked me to make a wedding cake for their class. Now I see yours. beautiful cake!!
