In community album: Bowling
Birthday cake for a 5 yr old having a bowling themed party. Ball is cake, Pins are Rice Krispie Treats. All covered in fondant. This was my first time working with RKTs and I have to say that I think it might be overrated. I had trouble getting the shape I wanted and the pins just kept getting fatter & fatter. My plan was to have them standing, but eventually I ran out of time and ended up cutting them in half and laying them down. It's not my best work, but I did learn a few things for the next bowling cake I attempt. :) Thanks for looking!

Thanks! I love using scrap book paper over the top of my boards to give a little something extra as long as the cake itself isn't too busy.
