This turned out better than I anticipated. The bride-to-be gave me a picture of a cake she wanted me to create which used a doll as the topper instead of an icing sculpture. I told her before I took on the project that the picture she provided uses a doll and that the sculptured piece will not look like Barbie. She was okay with that and she also was really pleased with the final cake. The upper tier, including the bride, is fondant. The lower tier is rolled buttercream.
