So - my distant cousin's parents both have birthdays and their anniversary all in the same week. She asked me only a couple of days ago to do a cake for them - and I don't know how they ended up together because they have NOTHING in common! Their interests were crazy different. So we decided to just go with presents. I'm not excited about this cake - it's a 9 x 13 that I cut down into three separate gifts and I'm not really happy with how it turned out. I normally wouldn't fill a 9 x 13, but decided to make an exception this time. Chocolate cake with chocolate whipped icing (very good!). Buttercream frosting and fondant accents. I guess I did have fun making the bows! But I definitely should've put them on separate boards because I couldn't get between the cakes to smooth them out. Boo.
