My wonderful hubby turned 27 this year and I made him sushi cakes (he LOVES sushi but I HATE seafood so we don't have sushi often). They are mini cupcakes so actual sushi size. The ones with roe were lemon cake with raspberry cream filling. The roe was tapioca pearls soaked in/cooked with raspberry juice to give the reddish color and compliment the cake and filling. The others were maple walnut cake with a boston cream filling. All MMF/buttercream. TFL!
