I made a chocolate fudge cake. The middle of the cake and the bottom layer of the top is chocolate soft cheese butter icing. The hearts are thin painted fondant in red, purple, black and silver. The middle twin hearts have edible shiny shards on the top. I made it for my husband and for all of us in the family to enjoy.
