Bass Fish

This was made for lil boy celebrating his 6th bday and he LOVES to fish! This cake required some research…too bad it didn’t involve fishing!! Lol. I looked up the types of fish found in the nearby lake and found pix of Bass fish which I used as a guide for shape, colors, etc. along w/the help of expert decorators allycook & springlakecake, this cake would have NEVER happened!! THANKS Y'ALL! The fish is all chocolate cake! Fins, gills and mouth are fondant. All hand-painted various greens. The board/pier is distressed and hand painted fondant. The post-it says….”Gone Fishin’ Happy Bday Chaston!” Push pin is hand-painted silver. Lure is real! (but snipped off the ends of the hooks so no kiddos get “caught”)
